Estatia Resort takes seriously its responsibility for the environment, continually focusing on how to better use energy and resources. This is reflected in the construction and operation of our resorts, where we continually seek to minimise the environmental impact.
Our environmental inititives are both implemented in the domestic use of recyclingt as well as using sustainably sourced timber, and incorporating more site specific heating practices. Estatia Resort Hotels has an environmental management system and practices that are certified to international standards. Our pools and communal areas, for example, are cooled and heated using hydroelectric power sources.
At Estatia Resort Hotels most of our hot water and heating is powered using biofuels. The firewood we use is also locally sourced and represents an environmentally friendly and renewable source of energy.
Gas burners are used as the main source of heating at. This is an energy source which is particularly good for the environment as the gas evaporates. The resort also has facilities to recycle and reuse much of the heat given off from the main refrigeration and freezer units in the hotel.
